Most IT companies in Pretoria will not tell you what they charge until after a meeting. We publish it, because a surprise invoice is the reason owners stop trusting their IT company. These are the rates we quote in writing before we start, and the rates on your first invoice.
Two rules apply everywhere: a R650 callout on every on-site visit (travel is never hidden in the monthly fee), and a R3,500 monthly minimum on packages, which suits a team of about five.

- The IT audit - billed at R750 an hour plus the R650 callout. We document every device, licence, password and single point of failure.
- A written 10-point plan, with an estimate against every point, so you know what it costs before anything is done.
- You choose the pace - all ten points, or one at a time.
- Then the monthly package and SLA - never a condition of working with us. Sign within 30 days and half of your hourly spend is credited.

How much does IT support cost in Pretoria?
Our published rates: pay-as-you-go at R750 an hour plus a R650 callout per site visit; Core Business IT at R750 per user per month; Fully Managed IT at R950 per user per month; Enterprise IT Partner at R1,299 per user per month, with a R3,500 monthly minimum. A 10-person office on Fully Managed pays R9,500 a month, including a weekly on-site visit, tested backups and Microsoft 365 administration.
How much does managed IT support cost per user per month in South Africa?
Between R500 and R1,500 per user per month is the normal range in South Africa in 2026, depending on what is included. Ours are R750, R950 and R1,299, and the difference between the tiers is written down: on-site hours, backup, security and who answers the phone.
Why is there a callout fee on top of the monthly fee?
Because travel is a real cost and hiding it in the monthly fee means everyone pays for the client 45 minutes away. A R650 callout applies to every on-site visit, including the weekly one; remote support has no callout, and most faults are fixed remotely.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
Monthly packages are month to month with 30 days' notice. The only minimum is R3,500 a month, which suits a team of about five. Pay-as-you-go has no contract at all.
What is not included in the monthly fee?
Hardware and software you buy, Microsoft licences (supplied at Microsoft's published price), project work such as a server replacement or an office move (quoted in writing), and the R650 callout per site visit.
How much does data recovery cost in South Africa?
A free evaluation first, then a written quote. Logical recovery (deleted files, corrupted file systems) starts at R1,499; mechanical recovery of a clicking or dead drive is quoted after evaluation because it depends on the fault and the parts needed. You pay only if we recover your data.
How much does a business website cost?
From R5,000 for a business website built by our sister brand Topaz Website Creations, with online shops and custom web applications quoted in writing. Hosting and care plans are separate and published on the Topaz site.
How much does custom software development cost?
Priced per stage, not per project: a written scope and estimate for each stage before it starts, so you can stop or change direction between stages. Small internal tools start around R25,000 a stage; the calculator above gives a first estimate.
Do you charge for the first meeting or the audit?
The 15-minute introductory meeting is free. The IT audit is billed at R750 an hour plus the callout and produces a written 10-point plan with an estimate against every point. If you sign a package within 30 days, half of what you spent on hourly work is credited.
Can we test you before signing a package?
Yes. Start on pay-as-you-go at R750 an hour. Contract clients always come first in the queue, but many clients start this way and move to a package within a few months.
